About April Wise, MFT

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, from grade school through seniors as well as couples and families. I have extensive background working with acute and on-going stress, recent or past trauma, depression and addictions, as well as family and friends of those affected by these difficulties. My experience includes working in hospitals, clinics, and in private practice.

As an educator, I have served as Adjunct Faculty at U.C. Berkeley Extension, CSU East Bay, and JFK University. I have designed and taught courses dealing with the dynamics of addiction, co-occurring disorders, and the treatment of trauma.

I conduct on-going supervision and consultation groups for clinicians practicing EMDR, or for those seeking credentialing in EMDR.

Currently, I offer a group for parents of young adults who are "Failing to Launch." Please click here for more information about the support group.
